About ST Health West Shore
Located in Hampden Township, ST Health West Shore is a 150-bed hospital located on a large campus, providing patients with access to specialty services including the latest in cancer care, orthopedic surgery, women’s health, and heart and vascular services. Built in 2014, the hospital recently underwent a comprehensive expansion project, which increased the emergency department, enhanced surgical services, and added private inpatient rooms. In 2021, ST Health West Shore became the first hospital in central Pennsylvania to offer minimally invasive robotic technology to help diagnose and treat lung cancer in its earliest stages. ST Health West Shore earned The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval® for total knee and hip replacement and spine surgery and is certified by The Joint Commission in advanced heart failure. It is also a Magnet©-designated hospital.
What can you Expect as a Professional Staff Nurse?
The Professional Staff Nurse provides highly competent patient care and treatment while demonstrating empathy and a passion for learning. A role that requires independent judgment, fluent communication, and candid partnership, the Professional Staff Nurse establishes relationships with physicians, other care providers, patients, and patients’ families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
As a Professional Staff Nurse and a member of the care delivery team, you will set the standards for the level and quality of nursing care and possess authority and accountability for its provision. At all times, you will exemplify a commitment to the community and to the nursing profession.

Shifts/Hours: Our RNs work a rotating 12-hour schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor.
Graduate Nurses must be eligible for State Board Licensure and successfully pass the examination before beginning this role OR ability to start with TPP and must obtain license within 6 months of beginning position. Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary from the My Nursing Career Ladder based on their individual experience and education.
